TO BURN 150 Calories you need to walk:
    At a brisk pace for 35 minutes
    At a medium pace for 38 minutes
    At a slow pace for 53 minutes
    You have to burn 3500 calories to lose one pound of weight.
    You have to have a calorie deficit* of 70,000 calories to lose 20 pounds (*burn 70,000 more      calories than the number of calories you eat). 

 

From a practical point of view if we want to be fit and well then exercise is very important. And if we are  over the age of 60 then exercise can prolong life and quality of life. But if we want to lose weight, we MUST control what we eat
